Ready to streamline your estate?
Discovery tools keep the logical estate current. The physical layer is different. Spire captures physical work as it happens and feeds it into the CMDB you already run, so change, audit, security and carbon reporting rest on the estate as it really is.
The challenge
CMDB health checks measure whether fields are filled in, not whether they are true. A server recorded at Row C, Rack 12, U18 still scores as complete long after it was moved during an emergency maintenance window.
Every Change Advisory Board asks what depends on this. When physical relationships are out of date, a low-risk change disconnects an application nobody knew relied on that switch, or power is isolated from equipment thought to be redundant.
Auditors, insurers and manufacturers ask what assets existed, where they were and what was done to them. The maintenance usually happened. The difficulty is proving it, because the physical work was never captured at the time.
Energy and emissions disclosures increasingly depend on the physical estate. Without an accurate record they fall back on manufacturer specifications, and those estimates are now certified to boards, regulators and investors under frameworks such as CSRD.
How Spire helps
Spire records every install, move, service visit, repair and decommission against the asset, with field-level before and after values, the user who made the change and when. Audit, warranty and insurance questions can be answered from the record.
More on Asset Management →Map power from utility feed to rack PDU, and every network path hop by hop. Dependency mapping shows which devices rely on which connections, so change managers can see the physical impact of a change before they approve it.
More on Connectivity →Navigate a 3D model of each hall from building to port, built from your own DWG drawings. Engineers find the right rack and U position before they walk to it, and capacity planners see space, power and cooling constraints in one view.
More on Digital Twin →Spire's AI agent runs locally, on-premises or in your private cloud, with no calls to external AI services. It works within each user's permissions, logs every query and action, and can run in air-gapped environments.
More on AI Agent →With COzPro, carbon values come from manufacturer EPD data and live telemetry rather than nameplate ratings. It covers Scope 2 and Scope 3 IT emissions, backed by the GHG Protocol and ISSB standards, down to individual devices.
About COzPro →FAQ
No. Spire sits underneath it. It captures the physical layer (locations, rack positions, power, ports and connections) and feeds it into your CMDB through open APIs and integrations. Your service management platform stays where it is. Nothing gets replaced. The physical record underneath simply becomes true.
Yes. Spire is used for data centre white space planning at a global bank. Someone with 25 years of managing and operating data centre white space described it as the first platform that truly delivered on the promises made during the sales process.
Permissions are enforced at every layer: search results, dashboards, reports and analytics only return what a user is allowed to see. Every change is logged with the user, time and before and after values. The AI agent runs inside your own infrastructure and keeps the same permission boundaries.
Choose one business-critical asset and ask two questions. Can you describe its exact physical state today? Can you produce every installation, move, service visit, repair and change made to it in the last twelve months? If not, the problem is physical capture, not the CMDB.
