Complete Lifecycle Visibility for Every Asset — From Commissioning to Decommissioning

Import thousands. Find anything. Track everything.

Assetspire provides a comprehensive asset management foundation where every entity — from a global organisation down to an individual network card — shares a common data model with full lifecycle tracking, documentation, and audit capabilities. The entire infrastructure is represented as a unified hierarchy: organisations contain datacenters, which contain floors, rooms, racks, devices, and cards — all managed through a consistent interface.

Import thousands of assets from CSV, Excel, or JSON files through a guided wizard with intelligent field matching, real-time validation, and permission-aware processing. Find any asset instantly with platform-wide search, or use AI-powered reverse image search to identify unknown hardware from a photograph.

Every change to every asset is recorded in a detailed audit trail with before-and-after values, and assets can be labelled with auto-generated barcodes for physical tracking. The system supports custom attributes via extended data fields, bulk operations, and fully configurable table views with column selection, filtering, and export. ---

Complete Lifecycle Visibility for Every Asset — From Commissioning to Decommissioning Dashboard View

One Data Model. Every Asset.

All assets in Assetspire — from the broadest organisational level to the smallest component — live in a single unified hierarchy:

  • Location Components: Organisation → Datacenter → Building → Floor → Room → Area — representing the physical spaces where infrastructure lives
  • Device Components: Rack → Server → Card → PDU → CRAC → Patch Panel — representing the hardware within those spaces
  • Unified Tree: Locations and devices coexist in a single navigable tree, making it natural to drill down from a datacenter to a specific card in a specific device in a specific rack
  • Type-Based Validation: Each component type defines which child types are permitted — a room can contain racks and areas, a rack can contain devices, a device can contain cards. Invalid placements are blocked automatically.
  • Placement Types: Devices support multiple placement modes — mounted in a rack bay (with RU tracking), installed in a slot, placed as a physical object, or linked as a logical component
  • Extended Data: Every component supports custom attribute fields for site-specific data requirements, with flexible key-value storage and search indexing

Create, Browse, Edit — With Full Control Over What You See

Every component type in the platform has a complete set of management views:

  • List Views: Sortable, filterable, paginated tables with configurable column visibility — choose exactly which columns appear, reorder them, and save your preferences
  • Detail Views: Tabbed detail pages showing component properties, children, connections, metrics, and audit history — each tab gated by permissions
  • Create & Edit: Structured forms with field validation and type-specific fields (e.g., rack height in RUs, device power rating, location coordinates)
  • Inline Partial Updates: Individual sections update independently without full page reloads — edit a device's name and see the change reflected instantly across tabs
  • Bulk Operations: Select multiple items from any list view and perform bulk actions — move, delete, update attributes, or export
  • Tab Badges: Tabs show live counts (e.g., "Devices (47)") so you can see the scale of contents at a glance

Import Thousands of Assets — Guided Every Step

The data import wizard handles bulk asset creation and updates through a 5-step guided process:

[ASSET PENDING DEVELOPMENT]

Import Thousands of Assets — Guided Every Step

1. Upload: Drop a CSV, Excel (XLSX/XLS), or JSON file. The system auto-detects encoding, delimiters, and column headers.

2. Field Mapping: The wizard presents your file's columns alongside the platform's fields. An intelligent auto-matching engine compares column names against field names using fuzzy matching — high-confidence matches (≥70%) are auto-applied, others are flagged for manual review. You can save mapping configurations as reusable templates for future imports.

3. Validation: Every mapped column is validated in real-time: data types are checked, maximum lengths are enforced, choice field values are verified, and referenced items (parent locations, device types) are confirmed accessible to the importing user. Errors are highlighted per cell with specific explanations.

4. Review & Staging: Records are classified as Create (new), Update (matching existing), Skip (duplicate), or Error (validation failed). You can review each record, approve or reject individual rows, and see a summary of what will happen before committing.

5. Commit: Approved records are written to the platform. Large imports (hundreds or thousands of records) run as background tasks with a real-time progress indicator.

See What Matters. Export What You Need.

Every table in the platform is fully configurable:

  • Column Selection: Click the column configuration button to show/hide any available column — including custom attribute columns
  • Column Reordering: Drag columns to your preferred order
  • Sorting & Filtering: Sort by any column, apply text filters, and use advanced filter sets for complex queries
  • Pagination Controls: Configure rows per page to suit your workflow
  • Export: Export any table view with its current column configuration and filters — producing a file that reflects exactly what you see on screen
  • Persistent Preferences: Your column configuration is saved per table, so your preferred view persists across sessions

Every Change. Every User. Every Field.

Complete audit logging for every operation across the platform:

  • Operation Tracking: Every create, update, and delete operation is recorded with timestamp, user, and source
  • Field-Level Detail: For updates, the audit trail records which fields changed, showing the before and after values side by side
  • Per-Component History: Navigate to any component's audit tab to see its complete change history
  • User Attribution: Every change is attributed to a specific user account, with IP address and session tracking
  • Browsable Interface: Audit trails are presented in a clean, paginated timeline view with expandable change details

Label It. Scan It. Find It.

Generate and print professional labels for physical asset tracking:

  • Visual Label Designer: A drag-and-drop label template builder where you define layout, text fields, barcode position, and branding elements
  • Barcode Generation: Automatic barcode generation for any component — supporting standard barcode formats
  • Batch Printing: Generate labels for multiple assets at once with a print-ready preview
  • Mobile Scanning: Use the built-in barcode scanner (mobile or desktop camera) to scan a label and navigate directly to that asset's detail page
  • Real-Time Preview: See exactly how your label will look as you design it, with live data from the selected component

Find Anything. Instantly.

Search across your entire infrastructure estate from a single search bar:

[ASSET PENDING DEVELOPMENT]

Find Anything. Instantly.

  • Unified Search: One search bar queries across all component types — locations, devices, connections, cables — returning results in a categorised list
  • Permission-Filtered: Search results are automatically filtered based on your access level. Unauthorised assets are never returned — not just hidden in the UI, but excluded at the search engine level.
  • Content Type Filtering: Filter results by type (e.g., show only devices, or only locations) to narrow down large result sets
  • Field-Specific Search: Search by name, serial number, asset tag, custom attributes, or any indexed field
  • Instant Results: Results appear as you type with typeahead suggestions

Photograph It. Identify It.

Don't know what a device is? Take a photo and let the platform find it:

  • Upload a Photo: Take a photograph of a device — front panel, label, or any recognisable angle — and upload it to the platform
  • AI Matching: The platform uses computer vision to extract visual features from the image and compare them against every indexed device and library object in the system
  • Dual-Source Matching: The search compares against both the component library (manufacturer reference images) and existing 3D screenshots/renders of deployed devices
  • Object Detection: For photos containing multiple devices or complex scenes, the system can detect and isolate individual objects before matching
  • Click-Through: Results show matched components with confidence scores — click through to navigate directly to the matched asset or library entry
