How much capacity is your estate hiding?

Most data centres run well below their designed power while paying for idle servers. Enter a few numbers to estimate the stranded capacity you could recover, and how much new build it could defer.

How the estimate works

Stranded power

Designed power across your racks, minus what is actually drawn, up to a safe utilisation target. That gap is capacity you have already paid for but can't use, often because nobody can see where it is.

Deferred new build

The share of stranded power you could realistically reclaim, multiplied by the cost of building the same IT capacity new. Reclaiming it pushes out or avoids that capital spend.

Idle servers

Servers that are powered on but do no useful work still use energy, cooling and support contracts. We cost their power at your PUE and electricity price, plus annual support and licence costs.

This is an indicative estimate based on the figures and assumptions above, not a quote or guarantee. Actual results depend on your estate. A verified digital twin replaces these assumptions with measured data.
